Miss Singaproe Universe Tania Lim will represent Singapore with an elegant silver gown designed on a budget of $500. The gown was inspired by the modern architecture of Singapore, and designed by a 19-year-old student from the Raffles Design Institute.
Miss Tracy Wu's design was picked from 35 submissions, including some from other international students. The Chinese student, who hails from Guangzhou, said she took three weeks to complete the gown.
The silver shoulder piece on the dress incorporates the five stars and crescent moon of the Singapore flag. Miss wu said the gown was "blinged up enough for Las Vegas", where the finals will be held on August 23.
