Diana Schoutsen
Age: 24 | Height: 5’9″
Hometown: Binbrook
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Diana is both Latin American and Dutch. Her parents are both immigrants in Canada from Honduras and Holland. Diana has her roots in Canada and emulates the best qualities from her family and embodies the values of both cultures from her parents. Due to her diverse background, she has learned to embrace different languages and cultures.
Diana went to ballet school throughout her education; in addition, she began a modeling career when she was sixteen. As a model and dancer, she demonstrated a graceful spirit and exceptional talent. Diana began to study kinesiology at York University in Toronto for about two years, after much study she found she needed some hands on experience in the clinical field to decide where she would go next.
Diana is now a graduate of Mohawk College with a diploma in Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy assistant. Diana also obtained her certificate as nutrition and wellness specialist from Niagara College, which she uses to educate clients in the professional clinical setting. She now plans to pursue and complete her degree in health and physically fitness in the near future. Diana obtained a Zumba instructor certificate this past year and is currently a Zumba instructor in Hamilton, Ontario.
She wishes to pursue her fitness instructor specialist and plans to train, teach and educate today’s youth in community settings. Her ultimate goal is to educate the importance of fitness in young adolescence. Diana is committing to fitness as a profession and takes every opportunity to better herself in all aspects of life.
Growing up on a dairy farm outlines Diana’s hardworking abilities and made her into the strong self-directed learner she is today. Country girl at heart, she is the second youngest of five. Diana fully intends to become a congenial and sincere woman, while crafting her own individuality through her experiences and influencing others to make a difference. Her appetite for learning about the world and other issues continues to drive Diana through volunteer opportunities.
Diana has kept busy extensively traveling North America involving herself in many charitable events. Some of many charities Diana has been involved in includes: Children’s fund AKA tree of hope, UNICEF Canada, the Canadian heart and stroke foundation, Children’s wish foundation of Canada, the Canadian and American cancer society, as well as the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. With much experience, Diana uses these unifying positions to enrich her understanding about the world and other issues to excel in life.
Diana has been blessed to have the opportunity to travel for career-oriented opportunities, weather it be modeling, acting, fitness conferences, etc. Unfortunately with these blessed trips, Diana has learned that this world is not perfect. Through personal experience, Diana wishes to have a platform in educating women particularly on the dangers on abuse, assault and mistreatment, as well as an awareness of theft and crime.
Diana feels sheer pleasure spending time writing and one day wishes to publish a book reflecting on her life experiences. She also enjoys the outdoors, running, and the company of friends, keeping her energy and determination constant.
